How long have you worked for Elderholme?
I have been working in Elderholme since June 2023.
Best thing about your job?
I have a good professional relationship with the residents. Caring for them makes me feel valued. I enjoy
communicating and doing any cares for them.
What is the best thing about working for Elderholme?
We have a good team in here. Everyone is so kind and helps and supports each other. Whenever needed everyone is happy to help.
If you could live a day as anyone at Elderholme who would you choose and why?
Difficult question 😅. Well I will continue to be myself as I am confident about me.
What’s your hidden talent (your superpower)?
Gardening and decorating are my favourite things that I do whenever I get free time.
How do you spend your free time?
I like shopping and buy things for my garden. That’s the main thing I do. Spent time with family and friends.
In May 2024 Binto received a collection from staff for his birthday and he decided to donate it to our residents activities fund. This kind gesture was truly appreciated by management and Binto received thanks from the Chairman of the Board.

Best thing about your job?
I like the challenge my role offers me. There are plenty of opportunities for training and you are listened too and respected as an employee. I enjoy looking after new residents and understanding their individual complexities.
What is the best thing about working for Elderholme?
There are opportunities for development and plenty of training.
How do you spend your free time?
I like to travel, I have many cats and I love Lego.

Meet Rachael
20 years! When I was a little girl, around 10 years old. I saw a picture of a nurse in a book, and it jumped out at me. I knew from that moment what I wanted to be as I grew up and I have no regrets. I have always wanted to care for sick people and to make them feel comfortable.
Best thing about your job?
The training and development, I enjoy the fact that you can do what you have been trained to do. There is loyalty within the company.
What is the best thing about working for Elderholme?
Training on the job and being given the opportunity to practice what you have learnt. The people work as a team and there is a level of trust.
If you could live a day as anyone at Elderholme who would you choose and why?
Kelly Crabtree is the fifth Manager I have worked with at Elderholme Nursing Home, and she is by far the best. She is caring and loves caring for people. She is courageous and there is a team spirit when you work with her.
What’s your hidden talent (your superpower)?
I have written and published two books called ‘More Words for Wise Women’ and ‘More words for wise women’.
How do you spend your free time?
Reading and listening to Podcasts, anything to add value in my life. I have a love for self-development as this helps me to grow in every aspect of my life.
