Information and Resources for Relatives
Moving in to care accommodation can be unsettling and isolating for residents and their families, so we try hard to preserve a strong connection and involvement between Elderholme, our residents and their relatives.
Residents and families involvement
The Registered Manager holds an informal meeting every 6-8 weeks where residents, families and friends are welcome to attend and ask questions, make suggestions or give feedback about our service. A few of our department heads and staff members also attend the meeting to help answer questions and offer advice.
Online family newsletters
Not able to visit regularly but have a lot of news to share?
You can keep your relative updated with all your family news using out FREE online service.
Volunteering opportunities
We always welcome an extra hand with gardening or activities because we believe that every additional minute spent with residents can make a big difference in enriching their lives.
We have a number of regular and occasional opportunities for volunteers.
Donations welcome
As a not-for-profit charity we commit all of our financial resources to invest in our staff and facilities so that we can provide outstanding care for our residents.
Our resident care packages cover much of our running costs, but we are always grateful for extra support and donations to help us maintain our high standards.
We truly appreciate and welcome any donations, legacies or even non-financial contributions (unopened toiletries, plants and gifts).
If you would like to support us, please get in touch with Kelly, our Home Manager; or you can donate using our Just Giving page.
