Quality, safeguarding and training

Elderholme places high standards of care before profit. The home has a very high staff to resident ratio and never compromises quality of care in pursuit of monetary gain.

All our care staff are carefully recruited and rigorously screened to ensure they demonstrate compassion and kindness in their day to day dealings with our residents.

Elderholme invests in the best equipment which it scrupulously services to ensure safety and security.

There is annual re-training for all care staff to ensure that standards are kept to the highest possible level. As part of their induction all new care staff receive full training in all required care disciplines and procedures.

The home has dedicated and specially trained nurses to hold the lead responsibility in such things as safeguarding, infection control, care equipment use, health and safety.

As well as a team of qualified nurses the vast majority of our carers are NVQ qualified.

Elderholme operates a robust and multi channel “whistle blowing” policy including a confidential “hotline” to the chairman of the board of trustees.
