About Elderholme

Elderholme Nursing Home was originally conceived in 1990 by local citizens with a vision to enhance their community and provide a safe, professional facility for local people in need of a residential care facility.

Forming the Wirrelderly charity (registered charity number 700121) a board of trustee directors and local volunteers launched Elderholme Nursing Home, donating their time and expertise to establish a much needed service to local residents and healthcare organisations.

A board of trustees continues to meet every month donating their time and experience in the same spirit of generosity that marked the founding of the charity.

Elderholme continues to serve as an integral component of the regional healthcare network, working closely with local medical practices, hospitals and councils to ensure that the most suitable option is found for the needs of local residents.
